Our Purpose

COME TO CHRIST

The very first step of the spiritual journey is to receive Jesus Christ as personal Savior for our sins. It is a priority at Bible Baptist Church to direct each lost soul to Jesus.

GROW IN CHRIST

After salvation, we desire to help each individual believer to grow in their relationship in Christ through Bible study and prayer and involvement in our church.

SERVE THROUGH CHRIST

As each believer grows, we want to give each of them a place of service in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ here at Bible Baptist Church.

A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

You can have a relationship with Jesus and know for sure that you are on your way to Heaven

FIRST, REALIZE THAT GOD LOVES YOU

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The Bible teaches that regardless of your background, age, race, or any other factor, God loves you and desires a genuine, personal relationship with you.

SECOND, REALIZE THAT EVERYONE IS A SINNER

The Bible says in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” No one is perfect. We all have broken God’s commandments. This is called sin, and it separates us from God.

THIRD, REALIZE THAT SIN HAS A PRICE THAT MUST BE PAID

Romans 6:23 tells us, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”The “wage,” or payment for our sin is death, which according to the Bible is eternal separation from God in a place called Hell.

FOURTH, REALIZE THAT JESUS CHRIST DIED TO PAY THE PRICE FOR YOUR SIN

Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” If we choose to accept Christ, we do not have to pay the price of death and Hell for our sins because Jesus paid for our sins when He died on the Cross and rose again three days later!

FINALLY, PRAY AND ASK CHRIST TO BE YOUR SAVIOR AND CLAIM HIS PROMISE OF ETERNAL LIFE

In Romans 10:13 the Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” That is a promise directly from God that if you will pray to Him, confess that you are a sinner, ask Him to forgive your sins, and accept Him as your Saviour; He promises to save you and give you the free gift of eternal life.

OUR BELIEFS

SCRIPTURES

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God and that it is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. For reasons of textual reliability, we believe that God has preserved His Word for the English speaking people in the King James Version of the Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21

SOVEREIGN GOD

God is a Person, eternally existing, as a Trinity in unity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – three Persons and yet one God. Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, I Corinthians 8:6

THE SON

Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God, who became a sinless man to redeem us. He was born of a virgin and is true God and true man. Luke 1:30-55, John 1:1-15, Philippians 2:5-8

SERVICE

The local church is a group of believers baptized by water, banded together for edification, exhortation, and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission; preaching the Gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15, I Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 1:22-23

SIN

Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing not only physical death, but also spiritual death or eternal separation from God. Now all of mankind exists as a fallen race with an inherited sinful nature. Genesis 2:16, Genesis 3:16-19, Romans 3:10-23, Romans 6:23

SACRIFICE OF CHRIST

The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as a substitution payment for the sins of the whole world. He physically arose from the dead and then ascended into Heaven. Simple faith in this sacrifice is the only way of salvation for mankind. Luke 24, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 5:8-10, I Peter 3:18

END TIMES

Jesus Christ Himself will soon come again in the air to catch up His Church to reward their service. The unbelievers left behind will go through a period called the Tribulation, after which Christ will return to the Earth to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. After this, the unbelievers of all ages will stand at the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while the believers spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord. Matthew 24:29-42, I Thessalonians 4:16-18, Revelation 19:11-20:13
